I don't know if this role-reversal (transience vs. He's known about this, having negotiated an additional year's lease at the beginning of TB but, as with Robin, I don't recall anything in the books indicating how he feels about a change of domicile after having stayed put for over four years for the first time in his life (my calculation may be off, but you know what I mean: between growing up with Leda and joining the Army, Strike was accustomed to never putting down roots while Robin was accustomed to just the opposite). Now, of course, Strike at least will have to give up his flat due to the real-life eviction of all the building's tenants in early 2015. We at least know she didn't like London until meeting Strike but now loves it, so maybe it was all for the best? I don't recall anything in the books indicating if this took a toll on Robin, especially considering that when she first moved to London, she was emerging from a prolonged bout of agoraphobia after a traumatic assault. (Thanks to ludicrous-moniker for remembering Ealing!)
